SOS mode is displayed if the device cannot connect to your carrier’s network, but can dial emergency numbers. This may occur due to weak network coverage, SIM card issues, network downtime, or software issues. If the phone is stuck in SOS mode for more than a while, it is likely to be a problem with the network or SIM card settings. A reset will often restore the connection.
