Need to turn a paper letter, receipt or application document into a PDF? You can scan it using the Google Drive app on Android.

    How to scan:

    1. Open Google Drive and tap the camera icon at the bottom right.
    2. Point your camera at the document and take the photo.
    3. Check the edges and use Crop & Rotate to adjust the scan. Retake it if the text is blurry.
    4. For a document with several pages, tap Add to scan the next page.
    5. Tap Done, give the file a clear name and select PDF as the format.
    6. Choose the Drive folder where you want to keep it, then tap Save.

Before submitting a scanned document, open the saved file and check that every page is readable, complete and in the correct order. Good lighting and a flat surface help.
